Here is a FULLY ACCESSIBLE City Ave market rate apartment!
Wheelchair Accessibility - Priceless
Apt 306 at Iroquois Apartments, 2805 N. 47th St, Phila. PA.
(modified by Inglis Housing Corporation)
The apartment is a 2 bedroom one bath 3rd floor apartment that is fully accessible for a wheelchair mobile individual. Lower kitchen counters/stove tops, side by side refrigerator with water/ice maker thru the door. There is an accessible counter for eating, and big accessible pantry. "Angled" hall walls for easier access to the bedroom area. The bath is an Inglis style shower room with a sink and toilet. Bedrooms are big and living room is huge with an accessible slider to an accessible 5X20 balcony with a great view. Building has elevators, 24 security, even indoor parking (may be extra). Across from major shopping center.
IHC is holding this apartment for a person who will benefit from the features that we installed/modified. This will only continue for a number of days, after which Iroquois may rent it to anyone they may wish, which means the removal of all accessible features forever. This would be a crime!
The rent is $1250+ - monthly. AND I was informed that Iroquois does not participate in the PHA Housing Choice Vouchers Program. (They no longer accept section 8). FYI the section 8 would never cover the market rent requested.
I believe it is one month rent for security deposit and one month rent at move-in plus the landlord eligibility guidelines apply.
